Living gluten-free is a lifelong journey.
Let's all enjoy the ride!

Richard is a freelance writer, publicist, and events promoter who has lived in Portland, Maine for the past 13 years.

Ironically, living smack in the middle of the "Foodie" capital of Vacationland, he discovered he had to live a gluten-free life.

Having overcome a nefarious "fear of eating," Richard is now dedicated to helping others in the same situation learn from his ongoing adventure.

Roy Silvernail February 1, 1956 - October 25 2010

Roy was s a software engineer, former professional musician and web designer who had lived in Portland, Maine for 4 years.

Although born in California, he did most of his growing-up during a 21-year stint in Alaska.

Though he did not need to live gluten-free, circumstances led him to live a mostly gluten-free lifestyle for the last 3 years. He still enjoyed the occasional slice of wheaty pizza (paired with a spectacular IPA, of course), but expanded his culinary skills to embrace everyday gluten-free cooking.

Sadly, Roy passed this Fall after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He is missed by many. Find us on glutenfreeregistry.com
